The following is a representative list of KBH Global's client projects.
- Assisted U.S. patent holder identify manufacturers throughout Asia infringing on the company's intellectual property rights, analyzed revenue loss due to the infringement, arranged meetings to negotiate license arrangement, and prepared background brief and interpretation services for the meetings.
- Performed market research in over twenty-five countries related to obtaining product prices and terms for major anti-dumping case.
- Formulated and executed business development strategy for animation production company based in San Francisco, seeking to outsource production to China. In this role, oversaw production process, performed quality assurance, identified and secured business opportunities, participated in industry events and gained media recognition for studio in trade magazines.
- Advised leading United States environmental engineering firm seeking to expand overseas. Activities focused on formulating a short list of acquisition candidates and analyzing strategic fit and reputation of each of these companies.
- Formulated international expansion plan including Latin America, Asia, Europe, the Middle-East and Africa, for a U.S. entertainment company. Particular emphasis on protecting company's intellectual property.
- Assisted publicly traded U.S. education company in its international and domestic expansion. Activities included obtaining financial support from the Ex-Im Bank and the World Bank, leveraging high level U.S. government and host country government support to close overseas and domestic contracts, identifying strategic partners and market opportunities, assessing the credibility of potential partners, and negotiating JV relationships.
- Worked with U.S. producer of batteries to negotiate the licensing of the company's technology to overseas firms. Activities included identifying key decision makers and negotiating licensing agreement.
- Founded and operated America's Favorite Cookies (AFC), a fresh-baked gourmet cookie retail system in Taiwan. This effort included determining consumer demand for the product, negotiating OEM and real estate contracts, devising market strategies, sourcing product, managing local personnel, maintaining the company's financial and logistical operations and promoting brand awareness.
Prior to selling the company, developed numerous retail and franchise units in Taiwan and established key relationships with major retail players in the Taiwan market, including Nestle, TCBY, and Xin Guan Department stores.
- Devised international expansion plan for overseas wine and beer manufacturers exporting product to the United States. Brand image, distribution and regulator issues are examples of work involved in this project.
- Assisted Japanese heavy industry firm analyze and develop market entry strategy. Project included a detailed study of the robotics markets, interviews with key industry players, short list of strategic partners and forecast of potential revenue. Activities resulted in the successful entry of the Japanese firm into the US market.
